Re: Risk of Student Suicide at the University of Wales Lampeter

I have in the past issued a warning on this matter to Professor David Austin while he was Head of School and a member of the University Council. He deliberately obstructed and perverted student complaints procedures to conceal the gross misconduct of Zed Zorichak and the Examinations Officer Dr Jill Venus. The Secretary and Academic Registrar Thomas Roderick and the Vice Chancellor Robert Pearce only did the same together with the threat of legal action.

The Visitor the Bishop of St David’s in my opinion was only too eager to ingratiate himself with the University also went along with what he was told, and unfortunately the Anglican Church has an appalling record on concealing abusers so they can carry on without discovery or accountability.

It is common knowledge that such tragic actions are more likely when the rules and procedures are perverted, lies are told, evidence fabricated and destroyed, the complainant is subjected to character assassination, threats are made, legitimate concerns are dismissed as wild allegations and any form of investigation is obstructed by those in authority.

In the past week I have received a considerable number of hits on my website lamp-post.info from people using the search term Lampeter Suicide during the middle of the night. I assume this is from the student night support volunteers dealing with the possibility of such a tragic event.

There is no doubt that my web site is causing immense damage to the reputation of the University its officers and staff, but despite numerous threats you have taken no court action because you know my statements are true. The situation can only get worse and will gradually lead to the University being unable to fulfil its articles of government because of the corruption of Council members, officers and staff. This will form the basis of yet another complaint under the Charity Act 2006.

Clearly from my experience no student at Lampeter is going to get a fair hearing with regard to any legitimate grievance in order to conceal wrongdoing and protect its reputation. Moreover, in my opinion the Church in Wales which is an integral part of the University is more concerned with personal and political ambition so will simply dismiss any complaint as wild allegations to protect the serial abuser(s) involved for the same reason. Bizarrely, they may well make matters worse by congratulating the abuser(s) so they can carry on without fear of being caught.

I am concerned that my experience will only reinforce the hopelessness of any student making a complaint at Lampeter but I can only state the facts and cannot accept any responsibility for the actions of others in concealing the corruption that is endemic within this so called University.

Therefore, I will be warning students to this effect via my web site and if they have a complaint to trust nobody, seek legal and professional help, advice, and support before they make any approach to the University; I fear that if they get the same treatment as me they will be finished off without compunction. If a student is at risk of suicide then they should seek professional counselling, contact the Samaritans or a Church denomination that is concerned with religion and spiritual wellbeing.

If you have any specific concerns about this matter or the content of my web site you should invite the Auditor General for Wales to carry out an independent investigation to verify your claims. Following the verification that your claims are total fabrication and that my complaints are fully justified, the website can only be removed as part of a general settlement on these issues. This will mean the loss of staff and office bearers but the University just might survive, please contact Mr North at Sinclairs for more details of what is required for this matter to be resolved.

You have been warned for a second time and in the event of a tragedy that makes you liable.
