Re: Your Letter Dated 19th February
Dear Mr Tobias,
As part of my application to Trinity College Carmarthen, I have already forwarded documents from the University of Wales Lampeter that prove your allegations of plagiarism were fabricated and without foundation. Therefore, a request under the Data Protection Act will not be necessary.
That you consider the matter closed is simply a way of avoiding confirmation or denial of the fact that I am right. It would be the easiest thing in the world to reconsider this matter, even a child of primary school age would do the task for you. It comes as no surprise that rather than resolve these matters and all the concerns they have attracted, you have sought to continue to damage the reputation of Welsh higher education.
I did make one error with my previous correspondence and that is the leading search term for www.lamp-post.info is Lampeter Corruption. The scandal about Lampeter continues to spread throughout academia, and under normal circumstances, anyone publishing such comments to the internet would be faced with legal action. However, that is never going to happen because we both know what I am saying is either true or fair comment.
You are simply storing up problems for other people to solve, so if they decide to contact me for an adult discussion then I would be pleased to hear from them.
I understand that some staff at Lampeter have made public their concerns that the merger with Trinity College will lead to falling standards.
You have missed an excellent opportunity to allay their fears at a stroke!
